Hard Drive Availability is Decreasing and Prices are Going Up

Recently Thailand experienced its worst flooding in the last half a century. Unfortunately, most of the computer hard drives and their components are manufactured directly in that area of the world. Several manufacturing facilities have been completely destroyed.

This disastrous chain of events is already beginning to affect the price of computer hardware globally. Several of our distributors have begun to limit the number of hard
drives we can order per server to three (3). Along with the limitation on quantity, we are also beginning to see a sharp increase in hard drive prices (sometimes in the range of 65-75%).

In light of these uncontrollable changes in the hardware market that will most likely only get worse in the next several months, we are notifying all of our customers of this situation so that your company can begin to make budgetary adjustments now on future purchases. Also, due to the constant, unprecedented price fluctuations, Globalquest will only be able to give their customer’s daily price quotes on hard drives. These price quotes will need to be updated daily and will most likely affect final hardware pricing at the time of ordering. Furthermore, we may need to adjust any previous hard drive pricing on existing hardware quotes. Please contact Herb Guth at 716-601-3524 x229 if
you have a current open sales quote with us.

We apologize for any inconvenience this re-pricing may cause. Unfortunately these price changes are not within our control, but rest assured, Globalquest will seek out the most aggressive hard drive pricing for your company and pass all possible savings back on to you the end customer.

If you have any questions regarding this issue, please feel free to contact us directly at info@globalquestinc.com or at 716-601-3524.

Thank you for your understanding and your continued commitment to Globalquest Solutions. We strive everyday to bring you More Profits, Less Risk and No Fear.
